Serena Williams at the 2011 US Open reacting to a clear call of a code violation by the umpire. Williams shouted before the opposing player could return one of her shots and was penalized:

“A code violation because I expressed who I am? We’re in America last I checked. Am I gonna get violated for a water? Really, don’t even look at me. I promise you, don’t look at me because I am not the one. Don’t look my way.” [...]

[...] “If you ever see me walking down the hall, walk the other way. Because you’re out of control. Totally out of control. You’re a hater, you’re unattractive inside. Who would do such a thing. And I never complain. Wow.”

Noooooo. I think that might be YOU who is ugly inside. The Williams’ father apparently motivated them by making them feel that they were always being persecuted in some way (“A code violation because I expressed who I am?”).

The military convoy Muir was traveling with strayed into a gun battle, and was hit with bullets as soldiers attempted to protect a road for food to arrive for starving refugees.

Al-Shabab, a terrorist group linked to Al-Qaeda, controls part of the city, and has been trying to prevent aid from reaching famine victims.

I thought I’d resurrect this old image. Rand Paul has not yet been elected (and likely will not) but this is one of those reasons that reminds me why I tend to align with Democrats. It’s not that this persons behavior is indicative of all Kentuckians/Rand Pauls Supporters/Tea Partiers but there’s that might-makes-right vein that runs through alot of the right wing. I can’t stand bullies.

LAS VEGAS – U.S. Senate candidate Sharron Angle told a crowd of supporters that the country needs to address a “militant terrorist situation” that has allowed Islamic religious law to take hold in some American cities.

“My thoughts are these, first of all, Dearborn, Michigan, and Frankford, Texas are on American soil, and under constitutional law. Not Sharia law. And I don’t know how that happened in the United States,” she said. “It seems to me there is something fundamentally wrong with allowing a foreign system of law to even take hold in any municipality or government situation in our United States.”
