About this Blog
Originally, this was just a straight-up blog. It was the winter of 2005 and I was a wide-eyed dreamer with much to say. Apparently, I got everything out within about 20 posts, because it pretty quickly started collecting dust (like 98% of all blogs). Those old posts are still here in the archives.
Now, however, I’m inspired to record my wife Elizabeth and my attempts at starting a family. In our frustrations and failures, other people’s message board posts and blogs were extremely helpful in navigating our journey. It’s reassuring to know that other couples have had the same problems we have and quite often overcome them. I want to give back to the community, also. If just one person finds this blog and discovers reassurance or new information in my posts then I’ll be very happy.
Ultimately, this will serve as a way to keep friends and family updated on our pregnancy progress and eventually it will have 10 billion baby photos, God willing.
This is my original bad-ass disclaimer:
I don’t CLAIM that this blog is anything for anyone, except me. As I write this first message, my intention is to record my thoughts as I think them, kinda like a journal. It may morph into something else, it may not. If you stumbled here because you’re looking for information about me (not sure why…) I have an OLD personal site at www.christophercarrier.com (which I’ll take down soon, it’s so outdated). Mainly, I’m a web designer, happily employed during the day and still freelancing. A loose portfolio of designs can be found at: www.carrierdesign.com.
This li’l site is happy to exist as a creation of the good folks at WordPress, who offers free blogging software. If you’ve got $10 a year for a unique domain name, you can have a blog just like this.
