Luke has a pretty significant case of baby acne. It’s a natural and common condition that is caused by his body shedding his mom’s hormones… although as I write that, I wonder if it’s more common in boy babies.* There is another common condition called “milia” that is less pronounced.  I believe he’s got a bit of that too.

At times, it’s looked pretty awful but apparently it doesn’t bother him at all. I joke that he has a little pizza face. Still, when taking photos, its not exactly the aspect that you want to remember at times like these. I hope you’ll understand that if I touch up the photo a bit, it’s not out of embarassment, but rather because his cuteness needs to shine through. We’re told it will clear up in a few weeks and three months at maximum.  You’re not to do anything but wash with warm water a few times a day — no lotions, creams or other treatment.
