Elizabeth is doing well and Luke has passed all his “tests” — hearing, vitals, etc. He has the usual newborn issues — rash, some acne. The nurses say it’s momma’s hormones working their way out. We’re going to try to keep him through the night since we’ll always be able to call the nursery should we become overhwhelmed. However, there will be no nursery backup from now on.

It’s amazing how many visits you get from staff here. All the nurses have been universally fantastic. Our only issue is with the room service tray pickup — one of the workers knocks really loud and then bursts in with “DO YOU NEED A TRAY PICKUP?” super loud. We’ve seen Dr. Clinton (our OB/GYN who performed the section) every morning as well as a pediatrician representng the practice we chose. In addition to the nurses, there are residents, lactation consultants, surveyists, photographers, custodial staff and more.
