We did a little final tidying today and took some pictures of Luke’s nursery.  Yes, we understand that it will never be this neat again.  Of course, this is missing the coolest accessory of all, which we’ll have for later photos.

In general, we tried to save some money on everything there.  The armoire we already had and used a tension rod and added little boxes from Ikea to make it a clothes storage area.   The crib is Pottery Barn brand (~$600 new) that we got for $175 with mattress and sheets on Craigslist.   We took a paint sample to Home Depot to get some paint for an existing dresser to match the crib and double as a changing table.  The green laquered bookshelves, matching wall shelves and hanging wire plane were purchased from Pottery Barn outlet at a very reasonable price.  The blue lamp with plaid trim was $12 at Target.  Some books were gifts, others were in the bargain rack at Baby Depot.  The rug, curtains, framed square pictures and much of the stuffed animals are from Ikea although some of those are gifts — as are some other accessories that you see.

Our one big purchase was the blue denim chair, which we had custom ordered from Crate & Barrel.  In addition to being a comfy two person chair, it’s also a pullout twin sleeper!  With our bassinet co-sleeper in our room, we can entertain overnight guests now.
