Today, we got the news we were waiting for.

The source of consternation for the last three months has been the position of the placenta and whether it would require a c-section.  The situation was considered a marginal placenta previa that the doctor felt might change as the baby dropped.  Well, the baby wasn’t dropping and since Elizabeth was at her due date on Monday and you don’t want someone with placenta previa to actually go into labor, we had actually scheduled the birth for Monday, the 27th.

Elizabeth had a last-ditch appointment today to see if there was any change and there was… just enough!  So we have cancelled the scheduled C-section and are now progressing just like normal, you could say.  We’ll just play the waiting game and wait for labor signs (none yet).  It’s not impossible that we could end up with a c-section and it’s also possible that she would have to be induced but those are possiblities for anyone this far along.

So the news is, no news yet!  We’re grateful for that.
