How do you eliminate a room full of stuff?

We don’t have a huge apartment.  I mean, it’s not tiny but it’s not like we had an empty room and posted some ad on Craigslist.  Come on, in terms of sleeping areas, we have one bedroom which two adults, a dog and two cats share and then I have my office.  I need my office because I do a lot of work from home.  It’s got a huge desk, and armoire with a TV and all sorts of equipment, a bookshelf and a big four-drawer filing cabinet.

Now there’s this new roommate moving in and right away he’s very demanding.  Get this: he’s not even here yet and WE have to buy HIM all his stuff — his bed, his clothing, his dishes, more.  Does he even have a job???  No!  Can he help pay the rent?  No!  We’re going to have to feed, clothe, bathe this dude… it’s like he’s dependent on us for everything!  I wouldn’t even be surprised if he expects us to wipe his ass for him.

So now, I’ve got to somehow figure out where to put all the stuff that was in my office.  I search for pockets of empty space that I can fill in with crap from my former-office.  It’s tough, let me tell you.  This week I spent many hours converting VHS tapes to DVD for the sole purpose of needing that space.  I gave away lots of stuff from the bookshelf and closet to make room for the filing cabinet.  As for the armoire with the TV and equipment?  That’s gonna be a closet for the little leech.  Unbelievable!  Hey pal, why don’t you just take some more stuff while you’re at it?  Better yet, meet my wife Elizabeth… why don’t you just have your way with her while you’re at it!

Which reminds me, by the way, Elizabeth has gained a bit of weight in the last few months… I mean, her belly is HUGE.  Hello!  Can you go to the gym on occasion… am I right, here?

Big belly, doesn't seem to mind. WTF?
