We’ll not be able to pack up and go whenever we like after Luke is born so we’re taking a couple of babymoons. I’m not entirely comfortable taking a full week off at work because of the economic situation so we’re splitting two trips between Los Angeles (where we moved from two years ago) and Palm Beach, FL, which is around where my grandparents and Elizabeth’s aunt and uncle live. For the latter, we have a free hotel stay at the Four Seasons, Elizabeth’s employer. We stayed there last year and it was very nice, right by the ocean.

Anyway, Elizabeth left for L.A. on Thursday the 12th and I followed on Saturday, both to return on the following Tuesday. This meant I had a scant three days while Elizabeth had five. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to see some of my friends in L.A. and we pretty much stayed at the hotel with minor excursions. The main one was Elizabeth going to her friend Jen Good’s baby shower while I drove around. Jen is due in April so she’s super preggo, making Elizabeth look like she ‘s only just recently ate a big dinner by comparison.
