Elizabeth had her monthly (tri-weekly?) visit with Dr. Clinton on Monday. Everything was fine, I suppose, although that is determined simply by checking the heartbeat with an ultrasound. Since we do this ourselves every few days for fun, this is no surprise. She also gave a bit of blood — if that’s clear than she won’t need to both with an Amnio (remember, we already had a CVS test that was clear). The level 2 ultrasound, where they really do some checking, count the fingers & toes, etc happens next month around this time. Our original appointment was scheduled too early.

We printed out a list from Consumer Reports (which I joined for all the baby gear ratings) so we could make sure we have everything we need for when our little fella arrives.  Since we bought the crib, some clothes and not much else we’ve alot to go.  We headed to Target on Sunday and checked off another ten things.  We’ll also be getting all the optional stuff.

Besides a typical baby monitor, I expect I’ll be setting up an internet camera with pan, zoom, etc.  This will allow me to view the nursery from anywhere in the world, and aim the camera.  We had one of these in our house in Kentucky, but we were piggy backing off someone’s wireless network.  When that went away, the camera became useless and I sold it a few months ago.  Now I can buy a new one — maybe one with sound and night vision!
