Elizabeth threw her back out on Saturday morning, went to work anyway and then staggered back home an hour later. Laid up in bed for the rest of the day, she needed to call the chiropractor and try to make an appointment for Monday morning.

On thing about getting a chiropractic adjustment, you CAN’T be pregnant. Well, there are things they can do but they have to know you’re with child. I think you even have to sign a release, because standard adjustments can be dangerous to fetuses. While we haven’t been worrying about pregnancy this month, Elizabeth HAS to take a pregnancy test so she’ll be able to walk again.

Lo and behold, Elizabeth’s pregnant! Au natural!

The bad news (as if) is that there’s very little the chiropractor can do for her and she’s going to have to mostly just rest to get better. Still, he does some good and she’s visibly more mobile afterwards. Mostly, we’re just jazzed about the pregnancy. Jazzed but cautious — we’ve been here before.

Oh, one more thing, she’s clearly coming down with the flu. Can’t walk, has the flu and pregnant. That means she can ONLY take Tylenol — no flu medicines!!! We make our appointment with Dr. Barnes for an ultrasound and hope to God we make it to that day without complications.

Here's the proof - pee on a stick and look for the big thumbs up. You're pregnant.
