Try 3 1/2
The IUI was successful but the conception was not. It’s tough not to feel down about it and we may need to consider IVF or at least decide if it’s an option. However, we haven’t had 3-4 cycles of failure, we’ve only had two. Our first time being successful (along with one natural pregnancy in the last year) and the third time not happening means we should insist that we keep trying. The numbers suggest this will work again at some point.
However, we’re going to take a month off. First of all, Elizabeth should take a break from the Clomid, etc. and we both need a psychological break. The anxiety and disappointment are difficult to deal with. In the past year we’ve either been trying or testing, miscarrying or recovering. We need to just take a month away from worry about it and start fresh with IUI in November. Sure, we’ll DEFINITELY be using the fertility monitor and trying naturally, but that’s anxiety-free (mostly).
