I really like John McCain.

I still wouldn’t vote for him, because:

1. “Marry the bride, marry the family”*
2. He seems to be aligning himself with Bush’s friends, sucking up to the current Repub power base

But a part of me suspects that once in power he really would follow his conscience. Unfortunately for him, the Republicans do not deserve the next president. No matter what happens, ANYONE, I mean ANYONE is better than Bush.

* I just made this up. Still, I suspect there’s a cliche out there similar.
