“LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – Actress Kate Hudson is lucky, and she knows it. But the 27-year-old’s success in her relatively short Hollywood career has been hard earned, even for the daughter of a popular Hollywood star. ”

“Hudson is the daughter of Goldie Hawn who raised her with long-time companion Kurt Russell, a veteran of more than 40 years in show biz.”

“”I didn’t want to be associated with my parents, didn’t want the perception that I rode on somebody’s coattails, and I had to be very conscious of that,” she said. “I feel pretty lucky. I feel pretty blessed, but I’m a real hard worker”

“Hudson credits her early, low-budget movies like “200 Cigarettes” and the summer’s Williamstown Theater Festival in Massachusetts with giving her a sense that a good career is something that is earned and not simply given to you — especially when your parents are already stars”

She honestly thinks that by not wanting to be associated with her parents, by not wanting to gain success only because of her famous parents that SUCCESS WAS HARD????

What, because you didn’t change your last name to HAWN or RUSSELL, you somehow took the tough road? Oh, you did “low budget” movies like 200 Cigarettes??? You mean that little ol’ movie starring Ben & Casey Affeck, Dave Chappelle, Janeane Garafalo, Courtney Love and Christina Ricci? That movie with the tiny $6 Million dollar budget? That was shot with a Sony Handycam, wasn’t it?

Why you may as well have been doing community theatre! Oh, wait you DID tough it out in ordinary summer stock, when you were SIXTEEN, at the Williamstown Theater Festival (also suffered by the like of Christopher Reeve, Sigourney Weaver, Ben Affleck, Marisa Tormei, Steven Weber and on and on.) Wow, did they even give you a place to sleep?

You sure had it tough, skipping out on New York University to star in movies and marry the millionare rock star boyfriend.

You’ve GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!!

Believe me, KATE, every casting director knew exactly who you were the moment you walked through the door, just like those unknowns Nicolas Cage and Emelio Estivez.

I knew that whole humility act was crap. This proves it.
